Trĭpŏlis, is, f., = Tripolis (prop. threetown), the name of several districts of country and of towns.
I.
A district of Thessaly, Liv. 42, 53, 6.—Hence, Trĭpŏlĭtānus, a, um, adj., of or belonging to Tripolis:
